- The concluding function of the 125th Anniversary of the Founding of the Ramakrishna Mission was held at the Students' Home premises on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 4.30 P.M. in the evening.
- Most Revered Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission and Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, presided and blessed the occasion during the Concluding Celebrations.
- He released a video with audio in the Tamil language on the Ramakrishna Movement titled “மனிதநேயத்தில் மலரும் தாமரை” on this occasion.
- Grocery items worth Rs.1000 each were also distributed to 25 poor widow mothers during the occasion.
- Swami Padmasthanandaji Maharaj also graced the occasion. Sri S. Gurumurthy, Editor, Thuglak, & Director, Reserve Bank of India, was the Chief Guest and spoke on “Ramakrishna Mission and its Goal”.
- Other dignitaries also graced the function along with well-wishers, old students, staff, and students. Swami Satyajnanananda, Secretary of the Students Home welcomed the guests and invitees.
The day of Consecration of the Home Shrine and Building in 1921, the Akshaya Tritiya, was observed with due solemnity on Sunday, the 23rd April 2023. "Maha Abhisekam to Devi Sri Saraswati" was performed on the occasion in the Home Shrine at 10.30 am.
A newly established STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) laboratory was inaugurated in the Residential High School at 10.45 a.m. on Tuesday, 21 March 2023. Infosys Foundation has established the STEM Lab free of cost for the use of our High School students.
The STEM Lab is situated on the second floor of the main building ‘Palace for the Poor’.
Sri Kiran N. G, Program Manager, Infosys Springboard (ETA), and Sri Santhosh.MM, Specialist Learner – Infosys Springboard (ETA), both from Infosys visited the Home and graced the occasion as Chief Guests along with other guests, staff, and students.
